Our “Mic Locker” is filled with many different microphones for use in the studio, in the field, or in YOUR office or conference room.
You’ll most-likely find an ELECTRO-VOICE RE-27 IN USE AT UPTOWN PODCAST STUDIOS.
However, certain situations, require different” microphones,

The Goal? To use the appropriate microphone that will make you sound the Best you can be:

Uptown Podcast Studios also uses “POP” Filters that are placed in front of the microphones so your “P’s” won’t “Pop”. Who likes popping P’s? No-one!

Aphex 230 Master Voice Channel
It’s AWESOME – If YOU know how to use it properly. Luckily, we do!
We find the Aphex 230 Master Voice Channel Tube Mic Pre an indispensable tool. BTW…If you’re a “TUBE” junkie like us, you’ll be happy to know we did a lot of “Tube Rolling”, and all agree that the Tung Sol 12AX7 is the way to go.
We Love the Aphex 230 Master Voice Channel for many reasons, including a built-in “De-Esser”.
What’s a De-esser? It works magic on your “Sibilance”.
Say “SNAKE” but with a long “SSSSSSSSSSS” at the beginning. That first “S” won’t bleed through to the recording.
